Houston, TX – April 8, 2025 — As #GALSNGEAR celebrates its 10th anniversary and the Broadcast Education Association (BEA) marks an incredible 70 years of shaping broadcast education, Bread of Life Inc. and its powerhouse media arm Amazing 102.5 FM took center stage to showcase the future of community-centered media, youth mentorship, and sustainability in the tech and entertainment industries.
Amanda Sapp, VP of Media at Bread of Life Inc. and General Manager of Amazing 102.5 FM, took center stage at NAB Show 2025 (April 7-11, 2025), one of the largest media, entertainment, and technology conventions in the world, with over 100,000 industry professionals attending from across the globe. She moderated an impactful session as part of the #GALSNGEAR CONNECT Women’s Leadership Summit at NAB Show 2025:

Sapp was honored as a Leader in Sustainability in Media Tech at NAB 2025, recognizing her efforts to advance community-based, youth-driven, and purpose-filled media through Amazing 102.5 FM. This prestigious award, presented by the Media Tech Sustainability Series (MTSS), celebrates her leadership and advocacy in fostering sustainability within the media tech sector. MTSS, led by Barbara Lange of Kibo121 and Lisa Collins of Dovetail Creative, provides a year-round platform for highlighting organizations that champion sustainability in the industry.

Mentorship in Motion: Houston Interns Head to NAB with #GALSNGEAR
Two rising stars from Bread of Life’s Amazing Mentorship Program joined Sapp at NAB 2025, interning with #GALSNGEAR thanks to their generous sponsorship.
🎓 Jaylin Michele, 23, is a senior at Texas Southern University, majoring in Mass Communication (Journalism) with a minor in Radio, Television, and Film. Over the past four years, she has contributed to Amazing 102.5 FM through community event planning, editorial writing, and guest coordination for The Amanda Sapp Morning Show.
🎓 Bella Bright 21, is an English major at the University of Houston–Downtown, with a deep love for literature and film. Bella co-hosts QTNA: Questions That Need Answers, a youth-focused show on Amazing 102.5 FM that engages listeners ages 16–25 in authentic and empowering conversations.
These young leaders represent the heart of Bread of Life’s commitment to equipping the next generation of Black and Brown creatives with real-world experience and mentorship in media, thriving under the guidance of Amazing 102.5 FM’s robust mentorship program.

Amazing 102.5 FM (KMAZ) is gearing up to celebrate its 10-year anniversary on July 15, 2025. What started as a community broadcast station has evolved into a bold, inclusive platform for storytelling, local journalism, live programming, and cultural celebration.
Bread of Life Inc.: 30+ Years of Radical Service and Innovation
Founded in 1992 by Pastors Rudy and Juanita Rasmus, Bread of Life Inc. began by serving hot meals to Houston’s unhoused community, and has since transformed into a nationally recognized nonprofit addressing homelessness, hunger, health care, education, and human dignity. With support from partners like BeyGOOD (Beyoncé’s charitable foundation) and Tina Knowles-Lawson, Bread of Life has become a beacon of hope for underserved populations across Houston.
